Experienced Environmental Manager Cover Letter Example

I am writing to apply for the Environmental Manager job that has recently become available at J.R. Simplot Company.

I have a bachelor’s degree in environmental management and my courses included land management and ecological epidemiology. I also took courses in finance and accounting. I have three years of experience working as a research assistant and two years of management experience where I performed administrative duties such as training employees, assigning tasks, supervising projects and taking care of any problems that arose.

I have the ability to design programs and put together procedures aimed at creating a safer environment for everyone. Once designed, I have the skills to implement these programs and then to monitor them to make sure they are working according to plan. As new technologies become available, I have the ability to choose the ones that will improve the programs already in place and then make the necessary changes.

My computer skills are outstanding and I have experience working with digital mapping, computer modeling and similar programs. I have excellent organizational, communication and leadership skills with the ability to make sure all employees comply with all environment laws and policies set forth by the company and by the state and government.

I make it a point to stay updated on all new regulations, laws and policies associated with waste, water and air pollution and I am confident that I am the best person for this job.
