Great Sample Resume

Experienced LVN Cover Letter Example

Dear Ms. Dorothy Shreve,

It is my hope to secure a position with your facility Central Valley General Hospital as a LVN. Attached you will find my resume which highlights my experience, skills and qualifications in more depth.

I have graduated from a program in vocational nursing, am licensed and have over six years of practical experience. My skills include the ability to implement patient care standards in licensed vocational nurse activities and to provide care under the supervision of clinicians or physicians. I am also able to assess and evaluate initial patient history, take and blood pressures and temperatures of patients and to assist patients in undergoing routine lab tests, scans and other tests.

It was my task at my last employer to maintain the surrounding area of patients in hygienic condition by changing sheets and helping those who were immobile to use the facilities. It was also my task to maintain the nursing records of patients and I also supported and assisted the clinicians and physicians in delivering patient care at all times.

I have great computer skills and understand the latest medical software packages in order to input the patient’s information, history and vital signs. My verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills are quite good which allows me to work with patients and in a team setting with other staff members.

It would be great if I could get the opportunity to speak with you in person about your needs in an LVN. You can reach me at any time to set up an interview by calling (555)-555-5555.

Respectfully,

Signature

Rebecca Livingston
