I have a bachelor’s degree in business and previous experience working in a warehouse in the shipping department. My duties included checking stock and making management aware of any items running low. While earning my degree, I completed an internship to gain actual experience performing the duties associated with this job and this firsthand experience has helped me to acquire a real understanding of what this position entails.
I am familiar with the SAP planning and inventory system and have the ability to balance supply and demand throughout the network. My abilities also include being able to ensure the merchandise sent out meets company standards and to make sure all paperwork is in order and updated as needed to ensure shipments are handled in an organized and efficient manner.
My abilities also include scheduling and tracking deliveries and making changes when necessary to ensure customers receive their orders according to schedule. When problems arise, I have the experience, training and skills to take care of them in quickly and efficiently.
I have the ability to look at things objectively and to explore different options to look for better, more efficient ways to ship merchandise. I possess a pro-active but friendly attitude with the ability to help your company increase productivity in the shipping department, while lowering operational costs to enhance growth and profits.
