Review benefit eligibility affecting status changes such as department transfers, address changes, reduction in hours and employment termination.
Update benefit paper files, insurance systems and file labels.
Handle third party monthly review and audit based benefit billings.
Interface between employees (flexible spending and COBRA)administrator) and third party benefit providers.
Synthesize activities of Payroll and other departments to achieve accuracy in payroll and billing deductions.
Coordinate with insurance companies and employees to monitor claim issues for resolving and reporting to Benefits Manager.
Develops periodic reports to identify missing deductions and support department interns and benefits assistant.
Support benefits program administration such as maintaining billing and communicating plans to employees.
Prepare and present benefits orientation.
Act as primary point of contact of benefits team for employees at all levels and educate and respond to staff on benefits queries.
Engage in special assignments by collecting and analyzing data and results whenever necessary.
Determine process improvement areas.
Maintain pending application records and ensure every day filling of benefit forms.
Answer insurance verification related staff requests and support benefit issues questions.
Support planning and arrangement of yearly benefits open enrollment process.
