Power Engineer Responsibilities and Duties

Engage in Department Safety Programs.

Identify maintenance priorities and handle Maintenance and Engineering departments’ repairs.

Support department activities as part of larger Power and Recovery team.

Develop, check and manage data.

Understand electric system components and activities.

Contact personnel and departments to resolve issues.

Increase industry standards, developments and technology knowledge.

Lead smaller project initiatives.

Enable improvement by documenting process areas.

Administer construction contracts.

Develop and construct new substations and modifications.

Check electric power system reliability to maximize performance level.

Analyze Systems Operations data and systems.

Construct and maintain substation areas and distribution operations.
