Portfolio Risk Analyst Responsibilities and Duties

Offer risk management on business analysis and research into business expertise area.

Determine risks and opportunities within credit portfolio processes and strategy.

Offer commentary on observations and ensure high standard quality.

Document analysis projects to present to senior management.

Oversee portfolio performance against KPI targets and analyze data and trends.

Understand key trends and performance and offer insight into retail banking portfolios.

Challenge credit strategy and policy in line with risk and business goals.

Set up relationships with business stakeholders.

Strategize on risk and improve overall strategy design.

Assess economic and structural conditions across asset classes.

Communicate with Investment Counselors and Private Bankers on asset allocation issues.

Work on projects to completion in an organized manner.

Handle multiple tasks by paying attention to detail.

Identify problems, opportunities and deviations and conduct risk vs. return analysis.

Manage suite of portfolio risk reports.
