Route Sales Responsibilities and Duties

Drive vehicle to deliver products, equipment and supplies to customer to reach financial targets for route profitability.

Select and maintain products inventory for every customer as per PAR levels.

Extend service to retailers by distributing Point-of-Sale material.

Deliver product to accounts, merchandise product on store shelves and counter and procure signed receipt.

Retrieve stale and damaged product, issue credit and get signed credit memo.

Drive delivery truck in and out of distribution center truck type will differ by route and zone needs.

Work in changing areas and climates.

Perform daily route settlement procedures to consider products, invoices and cash.

Develop and execute strategies to enhance market share.

Suggest on route structure to District Management to ensure optimum effectiveness.

Finish reports by logging call results, maintain vehicle records and keep drivers’ log book up-to-date.

Take order and deliver Scratchers tickets for every retailer to supply in-counter display units and vending machines.

Record and handle sales or delivery information in handheld.

Collect money from vending machines for Scratchers and draw games and ensure credits or debits.

Manage records on retailer contacts, vehicle maintenance and mileage.
