CNA Resignation Letter
As a Certified Nursing Assistant, if you are put in a situation where you need to resign from your job, the most professional and businesslike course of action is to send in a letter. You should write a formal CNA resignation letter and send a copy of it to the human resources department manager of your workplace. This is a great way to show that you wish to resign graciously, with no ill will toward your employers, increasing your chances of receiving a positive references and avoiding burning any bridges.
Format and Content
Your letter needs to be a professional business letter as befits someone of your education. A good CNA resignation letter format should start off by telling your boss that you plan to resign. If your reasons for leaving are too personal to disclose, it is acceptable to say that you are leaving for personal or health reasons. Keep it formal and factual, yet with a cordial tone. It is a good idea to write down your phone number and email address for anyone who needs to follow up with you between now and your last day. Place the date and your signature in the proper areas and make two copies.
Resigning from your Certified Nursing Assistant position requires both technical knowledge of letter writing and intuition. A good example can get you on the right track. This is a CNA resignation letter sample from a woman who is resigning due to family matters. She notifies her employers of the situation, giving them two weeks’ notice of her resignation and thanking them for the experience they have provided her via this official letter.
