Dear Human Resources Director:

I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Justin Ward who is a junior business analyst here at ABC Corporation where he started five years ago after graduating from ABC University School of Business. He wishes to advance his career by applying for the position of senior analyst at XYZ Company, Inc. Although we do not want to lose Justin, we do not have a higher position for him at this time and he is certainly capable of handling more difficult duties. It is for that reason I am pleased to recommend Justin for the more advanced position at your company where he will have room to grow in the field.

As part of Justin’s ongoing duties at ABC Corporation, he is responsible for performing constant assessments of our business models to ensure effective integration with our information systems. During his five years here at ABC, Justin recommended two significant changes in our business functions which have saved the company thousands of dollars each month and helped the staff consistently reach production goals while maintaining the highest level of standards. Justin recently conducted a study and submitted a report recommending some simple logistical changes that, upon implementation, resulted in quality improvement of some of our product lines.

Justin’s minor in computer science has been advantageous to ABC as he has suggested some innovative software that has streamlined several of our programming processes. He never shies away from change and is always ready and willing to try something new in his quest for constant improvement of the company’s processes. Throughout all of the changes with which Justin has been involved, he has kept one eye on compliance issues to protect ABC from legal problems down the road.

Despite his young age, Justin is well-liked and highly respected by all of the employees at ABC regardless of position and tenure. His confidence and enthusiasm make him a pleasure to work with and an excellent team member on any special project. The management and staff of ABC Corporation will miss Justin, his energy and his creativity; however we do not wish to hold him back from achieving his career goals. Therefore, it is my honor and privilege to submit this letter encouraging you to seriously consider Justin Ward for the position of senior business analyst at XYZ Company, Inc.

Respectfully,

Jeffrey Williams
