Registered Nurse Resume

Posted in Nurse Resume Samples

A registered nurse plays one of the most important roles in the entire healthcare industry. These individuals use skills such as empathy, compassion, physical stamina and more to provide care in facilities like hospitals, nursing homes, clinics and even city health departments. Though nurses are always in demand, it is important for you to stand out as a valuable candidate among others when you apply for a position.

A registered nurse resume should reflect skills that have been learned along the way, academic achievements, and any recognition received from employers. Your education and training is always important, especially if you are just entering the nursing field. As a mid-level or experienced professional, you’ll need to pay special attention to things like ongoing training or specializations within certain fields. There are three registered nurse resume format options below, one for each stage of your career.

Entry-Level Resume

Because you’ll have little to no real working experience at the entry level, your resume will need to focus on any academic achievements you have earned as well as any special skills you have demonstrated during your supervised practicum. In the registered nurse resume example here, Martina Landry does a great job of highlighting these achievements and her inherent skills such as empathy, friendliness, and ability to handle emergency situations professionally.
