An art teacher instructs students of various grade levels in a wide array of art topics. This may include traditional fine arts such as drawing, painting, ceramics, and sculpture or art using digital mediums such as Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign as well as digital photography. In addition to these tasks, the art teacher will be expected to play an active role in the daily school life which includes monitoring students, attending faculty meetings, and communicating with parents.

Anart teacher resume is a compliment to the candidate’s portfolio. It should highlight education and work experience. Most jobs will necessitate at least a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field. Many schools, including all public schools, will also require a state-issued teaching license or certification to ensure the applicant is legally eligible.
