Dear Ms. Sarah Salas,

I am contacting you in regards to a position you advertised online for a qualified management assistant. I am certain that once you look over my attached resume, you’ll find I am the ideal person for the job.

With over ten years in the industry, the last four of which have been in a management assistant role, I’ve developed a number of skills that are easily transferable to this position. These include, but are not limited to: troubleshooting, excellent oral and written communication, professional telephone etiquette, a high level of computer literacy and advanced knowledge of MS Office and other necessary software. I am excellent at working independently when necessary, but do well as part of a team as well.

You can count on me to meet the daily challenges of this position with confidence and discretion when needed. I’m incredibly goal-oriented, and feel a great deal of pride for a job well done. In addition, I am known for my critical thinking ability, and enjoy a challenge. Finally, I’m highly organized, making certain everything has a place, and that all files are kept in a logical and clear place. All of these skills and qualities make me perfect for the role as a management assistant with your company.
