I am applying for the Pharmaceutical Sales Rep position with Salix Pharmaceuticals, Inc. I have the training and skills needed to fill this position and actively promote the sale of pharmaceuticals.

I have a degree in marketing and two years of experience working as a sales rep. My experience has taught me a variety of techniques used to create awareness and sell products. I have experience creating marketing strategies that introduces the product to consumers, while explaining how it can benefit them personally. I also know how to target a specific audience with a real interest in the pharmaceutical being promoted.

I have the skills and training needed to perform the administrative duties required by this job. For example, I have experience researching competitor products to make comparisons and creating product reports that contain the information about each of the products I promote. I also have experience preparing and analyzing sales reports to keep track of how well the products are selling, so changes in the marketing strategies can be made when necessary.

I have some medical knowledge with the ability to learn about the pharmaceuticals before promoting them such as what the medication is used for, side effects and any other information that consumers need to know so the products are being promoted correctly.

I am self motivated, creative and I have the experience needed to maintain a good working relationship with clients. I have the ability to create my own work schedule and follow through to get the job done in a timely and efficient manner.
