I have an associate’s degree in paralegal studies which included courses in litigation procedures, research methodology and property transactions. After college I completed a one year internship and have four years of experience to date. In my last position, it was one of my tasks to support the attorneys on many different projects by tracking litigation matters and supporting all general litigation. This includes providing support for meetings and special projects that may arise outside of litigation.
My computer and accounting skills are very good and I am completely familiar with all Microsoft Office applications and the Legal software and can process outside counsel and vendor payment bills. This includes entering data and reports using databases and reconciling and processing purchasing expense reports and ordering supplies. When needed, I have the skills to handle all of the company’s domestic and international travel plans and can process all travel expense reimbursement requests.
On the legal side I know how to facilitate document production for subpoenas and official requests and can research and prepare for timely filing of all court and government agency documents.
