Here is the Maintenance Assistant Cover Letter example:

Dear Ms. Wray,

I was recently informed that your company has an available opening for a maintenance assistant. I am moving to your area, and I believe I would be a great candidate for this position.

I have worked in maintenance for the last seven years, first at an apartment complex and later at a large business. My responsibilities included: general repairs of the interior and exterior of the building, grounds keeping, identifying safety hazards, and regular preventative maintenance. In addition, I was also responsible for recognizing the need to call in a professional for more advanced repair needs, and finding well qualified contractors for those repairs.

Although I haven’t attained a college degree, I have completed several job specific training courses, including receiving HVAC certification. In addition, I have a reputation for being hard-working, dependable, detail oriented and a team player. I’m always ready to meet new challenges head-on, and welcome opportunities to advance my skills through additional training opportunities. These qualities make me a good fit for this position.

I understand the position requires a certain amount of physical activity, and I want to assure you that I am capable of meeting all of the demands of the job. I take pride in a job well done. Although I have worked independently, I’m more than willing to regularly report to a superior on the status of my area of responsibilities.

I appreciate you taking the time to review my resume, and I am available at your convenience to discuss this further. Unless I hear from you sooner, I’ll contact your office. I look forward to the opportunity to speak with you.

Respectfully,

Frank Lade
